A woman who hosted a Christmas shopping extravaganza in memory of her sister did such a good job she’s been asked to do another one.

Martina Enright organised the festive sale to raised cash and awareness of the Anthony Nolan Trust.

She chose the cause that matches blood stem cell donors with patients because her sister Teresa Milton lost her battle with leukaemia 15 years ago.

After a sleepless night Martina, 43, from Highfield, Hemel Hemsptead, was up early to prepare Warners End Community Centre for the sale on Saturday, November 24.

“It was slow to start with and then it picked right up. It was really good and everyone has asked me to do another one,” she said.

There were more than 30 stalls selling goodies and the event raised more than £100 for charity.

The day almost went without a hitch, except towards the end of the event when the popcorn and candy floss machines set off the smoke detector and the building had to be evacuated.

Now Martina is planning to host another shopping event close to Mother’s Day and Easter.
