People queued at the door to be among the first to get their hands on knocked down priced designer fabric.

Returned to Glory - the pre-loved furniture and homeware store run by the Hospice of St Francis - launched its sale of fabrics, remnants, curtains and wallpaper donated by Sanderson and Zoffany on Thursday.

Marketing manager Sarah Coles said: “We were flabbergasted at the sheer number of people who turned up to our first designer sale and it was such a success.

“We are grateful to Sanderson for generously supplying the material and do hope this is something we can repeat in the future.”

The sale at the Northbridge Road showroom in Berkhamsted, also includes specially-made cushions in designer fabric by Nina Campbell, Osborne and Little and Romo.

Prices start from £5 and the sale continues until Wednesday, March 13.

The money raised goes to the hospice, which supports those facing life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Returned to Glory is open seven days a week from 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays. For more information visit www.stfrancis.org.uk
