Hertfordshire’s new police and crime commissioner is to give an annual public lecture on his plans, and the first will take place next month.
David Lloyd will be speaking at the University of Hertfordshire on Monday, April 15, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
The commissioner will be sharing the ideas and innovations that form his police and crime plan.
He said: “I am thrilled to be invited by the University of Hertfordshire to discuss my plan and, in particular, to talk about some of the radical changes that I am making in order to put the public first and ensure offenders pay proportionately for the harm they cause, as well as plans to bring greater business sense in policing and crime.
“I believe we can all do more to make our county even stronger and safer. The police can improve, members of the public can do more to help fight crime and businesses can also contribute to create the type of society that we want to live, study and work in.”
A university spokesperson added: “We are delighted to welcome David Lloyd to deliver what we hope will be the first public lecture in partnership with the University to discuss his role and his new plan for the county.”
