Aspiring authors can get tips on getting published at an exclusive supper where three bestsellers will explain how they did it.

Romantic fiction writers Sophie King, Rowan Coleman and Carole Matthews will be in The Greene Room of The King’s Arms, Berkhamsted High Street, for Book’d Out on Wednesday, April 10.

Guests are asked to arrive at 7pm, where they will be greeted with a glass of pink fizz. The two-course meal itself will start at 7.30pm.

Publisher and event organiser Ian Skillicorn said: “This will be a truly special evening for fans of romantic fiction and these well-loved authors.

“And if you are an aspiring author yourself, it’s a rare chance to talk to successful authors about how they did it.”

Former Gazette columnist Sophie King has written six novels, including best-seller The School Run. She also writes under pseudonym Janey Fraser – and Happy Families, her third novel under that name, will be published later this month.

Rowan Coleman has been writing novels for more than a decade. Her latest book, Dearest Rose, recently won the Romantic Novelists Association Epic Romantic Novel of the Year 2013.

Carole Matthews is an internationally best-selling author of over 20 romantic comedy novels. Her latest, A Cottage By The Sea, is out this month.

Tickets to supper with the three authors cost £25 and are available from The King’s Arms, Waterstone’s bookshop in Berkhamsted High Street and online at www.bookdout.co.uk
