The man who is attempting to run 30 marathons in 30 days is now approaching the half-way point of his task.
Matthew Loddy, 47, is running around the UK to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Northchurch-based Hospice of St Francis. The managing director of Berkhamsted’s Framework Scaffolding Contractors, who lives in Watford Road, Kings Langley, began the task on March 23. He will pass through Marlowes in Hemel Hempstead at the end of his 19th marathon next Wednesday. He wants people to cheer him on when he arrives at about 1.50pm. The next day, he will begin his 20th marathon in Northbridge Road, Berkhamsted, at 10.30am. Recently he bumped into about 50 mods on scooters who gave him more than £50 in sponsorship. Visit www.frameworkfoundation.co.uk to sponsor him.
