Parents from St Rose’s Catholic Infants School have smashed their original fundraising target for a cancer-stricken mum, but say there is more to be done to help save her life.

Just a fortnight after setting up the group, Team Natalie raised the £5,000 needed for the mum-of-two’s ground-breaking treatment in New York. They now want to contribute towards her costly aftercare, and become a registered charity.

Natalie is currently undergoing chemotherapy and painful abdominal drainage, but has said she is overwhelmed by the support. She added: “I really hope that things change for good soon. Nearly all my hair is gone, I am strangely happy about it as it shows chemo is working. It is a tough journey but I will get through.”

As well as monetary donations to the cause, Team Natalie are also appealing for businesses to donate items which could be used as prizes in a fundraising raffle.
