A family has been put in touch with a couple who were involved in the same holiday horror coach crash – thanks to the Gazette.
Apsley businessman Paul Jones got in touch after reading a report in last week’s newspaper about the Dubai accident. It included a plea from Ken Rudman, who lives in Kent, and was on board the coach that collided with another bus and tipped onto its side.
He wanted to track down fellow passengers and recalled that one family were from the Hemel Hempstead area.
Paul, who lives in Pimlico, suffered fractured ribs and bruising in the terrifying accident, which also involved his wife and three-year-old son.
“It was quite scary,” said Paul. They were among other holidaymakers heading to the airport following a sunshine break back in March.
And Paul, too, has been trying to track down others who were involved in the smash.
Ken said: “After an experience like that it helps to speak to others who have been through the same thing.”
