A Dacorum business believes when times are tough you’ve got to get up and get on with it.
Ecological tree surgeon firm Treelife Ltd, based in Great Gaddesden and Berkhamsted won the Dacorum Business of the Year title, sponsored by the borough council at recent awards.
Tim Wise, Treelife’s owner, said the company had had a good year, winning a contract with a local authority and taking on apprentices.
He said he was “really proud” to win the award at the Hertfordshire Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) awards, held at Shendish Manor.
Mr Wise said: “If it is tough for us, it is tough for everyone else. You’ve just got to get up and get on with it, get up in the early morning and work hard.”
The firm uses German military vehicles to get into places others fear to tread.
The runner up into the Dacorum category was chilli food specialist Grim Reaper Foods.
