A team of mums who helped raise more than £16,000 for the treatment of a cancer-stricken woman have planned their next zany fundraiser.
Team Natalie, made up of parents from St Rose’s Catholic Infants’ School, are hoping a fun zumba event will take their already impressive total to £20,000.
The money will be used to send mum-of-two Natalie Arseni to America for treatment and help pay for her costly aftercare.
Speaking on the group’s Facebook page, Natalie said: “My dreams are really becoming reality. My last scan showed the cancer is stable, and some bits have shrunk a little. My doctor has given me the go-ahead to fly, so it is really happening. Thank you all so very much.”
The zumba event takes place on Sunday at Batchwood Hall Nightclub in St Albans from 2pm to 5pm. Entry costs £10 on the door and there will also be a raffle with prizes including return flights with Monarch.
