A growing family construction business believes “upping your game” is a way of climbing out of recession.

Hardcrete Concrete, with more than 25 years experience in the delivery of ready mixed concrete, is relocating from domestic premises in Highcroft Road, Felden, to the Abbots Business Park in Kings Langley.

Founding director and owner David Harding, 49, has seen business increase in 2013.

Daughter Joely Harding, 23, who is the administration manager, said: “We are offering a service that has gone from strength to strength. We are looking to expand and are thinking of taking on one more person.” The company started life as a single van delivering concrete, and is now a digital office with 11 employees.

Ian Archer, director of Aitchison Rafferty, the commercial property specialists who completed the deal, said: “I finally hope that we are seeing the green shoots of business recovery.” He said Hardcrete is an example of good family-run businesses finally being able to expand to bigger premises.
