A photographer with a passion for using traditional cameras has installed a new portrait studio in her back garden.

Charlotte Hazeldine, 26, from Nathaniel Walk, Tring said: “I prefer the more conventional, older types as they allow more quality.”

Dyslexic Charlotte, who also teaches photography in Watford, became interested in the medium when she was 12.

She said: “I was never academic but have always been fascinated in the mechanics of how things work. At school we had a photography club that allowed you to mess around and experiment with things. It was organised chaos and it really appealed to me. Maybe it was due to my dyslexia but visuals always came far more easily to me than writing or maths.

“I think photography is a brilliant method of storytelling. I am interested in the idea of conveying a story from beginning to end - and in showing the whole process”.

Photographic arts graduate Charlotte has taken pictures of Tring Brewery that were used in publicity shots. In her career she has also photographed British Waterways, the UK Farming community, and is currently working on a photography app.
