A selection of the opportunities available this week through Volunteer Centre Dacorum.
Could you help out at Flamstead’s fantastic scarecrow festival?
Why not have fun and raise money for Herts Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre at the same time?
The Letchworth-based centre serves the whole county and provides a range of therapies and support for people with MS from chiropody to art classes and Indian head massage to the services of a specialist MS nurse.
The festival is a joint event, raising funds for the therapy centre and for Friends of St Leonards village church.
Volunteers are needed to help with traffic control, serving tea in the village hall and with selling raffle tickets and voting forms for the best scarecrow.
In its twelfth year, the festival has gone from strength to strength and will take place on August 9, 10 and 11.
If you can help with any of these activities for a few hours or the whole weekend, contact the Volunteer Centre for further details.
