Berkhamsted’s Poppy Appeal has been saved after Keith Bayliss stepped in to become its new organiser.
The year-round fundraiser for the Royal British Legion – which centres around Remembrance Day on November 11 – was thrown into crisis last month when former organiser Paul Phillips retired.
Chairman of the Berkhamsted, Tring and District branch of the charity Keith Bayliss has agreed to take Paul’s place, but wants someone else to do it from 2014, as it is a very time-consuming role.
