It’s been all change in the village of Wilstone as everybody said a fond farewell to former Half Moon pub landlords Bob and Jan Findlay, who had pulled pints at the village’s watering hole for nearly 24 years.
But the pair haven’t moved far, as their new home is in nearby Aston Clinton, where they live with daughter Laura, 22.
Jan said: “We’ve had a fantastic time, we’ve had so many loyal customers. But the time was right for a change.”
Taking over are husband-and-wife team Guy Campbell and Abi Phipps, who owned a pub in St Albans before moving to Wilstone.
Abi said: “We’re tweaking bits and bobs, but we’re not going to turn it upside down – if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!”.
