A community-led project aiming to give Berkhamsted people a voice on the potential redevelopment of the High Street is now involving children through an arts and crafts competition.

The B-hive scheme, which already has 350 people signed up to the cause and will be around in the town recruiting more, is now running the Brilliant Berko contest with Berkhamsted Arts and Crafts.

Children have to make a model from a pack collected from the store of something they would like to see in the potential redevelopment of the Civic Centre site. There are three age categories with prizes available.

Entry closes on August 31 and the winners will be chosen on the day of the public town consultation on September 14.
