A man has been fined £8,000 and ordered to remove his mobile home from land after breaching planning rules.
Dacorum Borough Council took 67-year-old Derek Donaldson, of Bradden Lane, Gaddesdeon Row, to court after he failed to comply with an enforcement notice that ordered him to remove the temporary home as planning permission had not been granted.
At Watford Magistrates Court last Tuesday he was found guilty of failing to comply with the notice.
He must now remove the mobile home and concrete base and return the land to its previous condition. He was also ordered to pay £3,198.34 in court costs and a £120 victim surcharge.
Leader of the council Andrew Williams said: “We will take action against those who don’t comply with planning regulations.”
