A health watchdog spokesman will speak at a public meeting in Hemel Hempstead on how the NHS can learn from the infamous Mid Staffordshire Hospitals scandal.
The Care Quality Commission’s communications officer Chris Daywill also listen to people’s views on new measures for improving inspection into the quality of patient care across the NHS. He has been invited by the Dacorum Patients Group and Healthwatch Hertfordshire.
The group’s events organiser Robin Pike said: “This event will be of immense interest to both health and social care professionals and patients alike.
“It will provide a unique and direct opportunity for the ‘patient voice’ to be heard at the top of the CQC. I urge all those who can to come along and be part of this event.”
Anyone is welcome to the event in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre in Marlowes on Monday, September 9, from 7.30pm to 9pm. Call 01442 876769 or email info@dacorumpatientsgroup.org.uk to register your interest.
