Police are investigating an attempted robbery at an Apsley bookmakers this morning.
Two offenders wearing balaclavas entered the Coral store in London Road and threatened a staff member at around 11.20am.
The pair escaped empty-handed and are believed to have driven away in a dark-coloured car. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Officers maintained a heavy presence in the area as far as the Plough roundabout after the incident, and will now be examining CCTV evidence and interviewing witnesses.
Anyone with information is urged to call Det Sgt Craig Flint on the non-emergency number 101.
