An event which aims to celebrate masculine pursuits while providing a day of family entertainment has been postponed, but there is a special taster session tomorrow to help whet the appetite.

The inaugural ‘Bespoke - A Day for the Modern Gent’ event was due to take place on Sunday, but has been put back until June next year.

The extravaganza at Ashridge House, Berkhamsted, aims to focus on men’s fashion and sport but will also stage live music and food events.

To raise awareness of the project, which will collect funds for male cancer charity Orchid, the Bespoke team are holding a Live Lounge in the Greene Room at the Kings Arms Hotel, Berkhamsted, tomorrow evening (Thursday).

The night features sets from local artists including Nik Lowe of the Lazy Sundays, Glyn Devey and The Man’s Machine, and continues the search for the model who could be the face of Bespoke 2014, as model scouts will be out and about to spot any undiscovered talent for the catwalk.

Tables are available from 7.30pm, entry is free and Bespoke’s very own cocktail ‘The Gent’ will be the order of the evening.
