A road smash in Hemel Hempstead’s industrial estate required fire crews to cut open a car in order to free a casualty last night.
Paramedics were called to the scene in Three Cherry Trees Lane at the junction with Swallowdale Lane at around 9.20pm after two cars had collided and left one woman in her 50s with neck injuries.
Firefighters were called for assistance 35 minutes later and used specialist cutting equipment to remove the roof of one car and free the woman, who was then taken to Watford General Hospital by ambulance.
Her injuries were not considered serious or life-threatening.
