Non-striking firefighters were called to four 999 emergencies while their colleagues were staging a walkout in a dispute over pensions on New Year’s Eve.
None of the emergencies - between 6.30pm and 12.30am on the busiest party night of the year - were in the Dacorum area.
Councillor Richard Thake, who oversees community safety at County Hall, said: “Despite fewer resources being available during the strike action all incidents were dealt with appropriately.
“We are extremely disappointed that further walkouts took place and we continue to hope for a speedy resolution to this ongoing dispute.”
There is a further strike tomorrow from 6.30am to 8.30am as the row over changes to pensions goes on.
