A total of nine babies arrived at Watford General Hospital on New Year’s Day - and one was born to Hemel Hempstead parents.
The first bundle of joy to make an appearance was baby Cara at 4.14am, who is daughter to proud mother Siobhan Hughes from St Albans.
On Christmas Day, 16 babies were born at the hospital, with two belonging to Hemel Hempstead parents.
Interim head of midwifery and gynaecology Fiona Parkes said: “Each and every birth is a unique occasion for both the family and midwives involved. However, our New Year and Christmas babies will have very special birthdays to celebrate over the coming years.”
