TOWN leaders aim to take a stronger line in removing posters stuck around town to promote community events.
Berkhamsted Town Council, which has a no-tolerance policy on it, agreed at a meeting on Monday to ask Dacorum Borough Council what could be done to stop the problem.
The politicians were responding to a letter by Malcolm Allen, who described them as “crude”.
Councillor Ian Reay said: “We should insist that the rules are being properly enforced as I am sure they are not.”
But member of the public Norman Cutting said: “Is there not a case to be made for some sort of regulated signage as some charities have had their banners removed?”
