SMALL businesses in Dacorum borough are being encouraged to bid for grants that could help them take their ideas up a level.
From August, Dacorum Borough Council will be offering a limited number of grants of up to £1,000.
Shortlisted firms will be asked to present ideas on August 17 to a panel dubbed Dacorum’s Den.
Applicants will need to complete and return an application form by midday on Friday, July 27.
Dacorum’s Den is open to residents of the borough and those businesses, with fewer than 50 employees, registered in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Tring, Kings Langley and surrounding villages.
Businesses or people thinking of starting new ventures could use the cash to test trade a product or service, expand into a new market, diversify into a new product area, buy equipment or tools to improve efficiency, or launch a new business, or produce a prototype.
