A 16-year-old girl who helped get funding for Berkhamsted Skate Park’s new floodlight and the woman who helped set up the Berkhamsted Games have been given Centenary Civic Awards.
They were handed out by the Rotary Club of Berkhamsted Bulbourne at the town’s annual meeting on Thursday.
Louise Collins got her accolade for organising the mini-Olympic Games in the town’s Bridgewater School, attended by children from all schools in the area last year.
Berkhamsted Youth Town Council member Kirsty Robertson got her award for her work on the floodlight funding. She also stage managed 2012 music event Berko Unplugged, which raised funds for the town’s Swan Youth Centre.
