Hertfordshire’s police and crime commissioner David Lloyd has launched an open application process for a new sidekick.
The crime czar postponed appointing a new deputy when the former holder of the post, Rachel Frosh, resigned after retweeting a Nazi-themed Twitter post in February.
Salary details for the position have not been released. Cath Shepherd of Herts Police said: “The commissioner’s office will consider the background and experience of respective candidates and assess an appropriate remuneration approach to ensure the best value for Hertfordshire’s taxpayers.”
