Bus bosses say a review of recently revised bus routes will take on-board the views of customers.
The promise comes after the Gazette approached Arriva about unhappy customers who are finding it difficult to get about following the summer changes.
Bus spokesman Linsey Frostick said: “We will continue to monitor the situation over the next few months and any feedback from customers will form part of our review of the changes, which will be carried out over the next few months.”
Elizabeth Price, 73, used to catch a number four or five bus every 15 minutes from close to her Bennetts End home - now there is just one bus every hour.
Her alternative is to walk up a hill to Bennetts Gate - quite a feat for elderly travellers - where you can catch the Number two bus.
“One 87 year old lady told me that she couldn’t face the walk up the hill so she had to pay for a taxi, which was £5.” said Mrs Price, of Fouracres Walk.
Irene Chard, of Chaulden, said the route changes mean she is now unable to take the most direct route to the town centre, railway station or B&Q in Two Waters Road, Hemel Hempstead.
“We were served by two bus routes, the number two and three. We now only have one bus route – the number three,” she said. “I have spoken to many people and they are really upset that the bus routes have been changed.
“There are many elderly people in the Chaulden area who have found the revised timetables and bus routes absolutely ridiculous and it is causing many problems.”
