Construction union UCATT is holding an anti-blacklisting demonstration outside Sir Robert McAlpine’s Hemel Hempstead head office today.
The protest at the Eaton Court offices is part of a national anti-blacklisting day of action.
Blacklisting - where construction industry employers used secret files to vet recruits and keep out trade union and health and safety activists - came to light in 2009 when the Information Commissioner raided the offices of the Consulting Association – an organisation that Sir Robert McAlpine was closely involved with.
